Week 10 of First Trimester
Discover what happens during week 10 of first trimester. Baby development, body changes, symptoms, and a weekly checklist.
What's Happening This Week
A disrupted sleep routine mingled with nervousness, fatigue and a dollop of excitement on top - welcome to parenting! The past couple of weeks were hard on you indeed and we understand that. Ensure you take the first step towards dealing with your difficulties by acknowledging the surge of emotions and restlessness. However, do hit pause and soak in all the positive energy around you, and inside you, as your baby becomes a foetus officially.
First Trimester is a time of rapid change — for both you and your baby. Every pregnancy is unique, and the information below will help you understand what's happening and how to prepare for the weeks ahead.

Your Body
The placenta becomes more active in supporting the pregnancy, helping stabilize some hormonal fluctuations. Blood circulation continues increasing, which can sometimes cause dizziness, visible veins, or warmer body temperature. Although symptoms may still feel intense, your body is beginning to find a steadier rhythm.
What You Might Notice
Some symptoms may begin easing, while others continue changing week to week. You may also notice your clothes fitting differently as your uterus slowly rises upward.
Your Baby
This week marks the transition from embryo to fetus. Major organs, limbs, fingers, and toes are now formed, and development shifts toward growth, refinement, and maturation. Tiny fingernails begin developing, and the jawbone and neck become more defined.
