Week 15 of Second Trimester
Discover what happens during week 15 of second trimester. Baby development, body changes, symptoms, and a weekly checklist.
What's Happening This Week
As you continue to progress through your pregnancy, it's important to stay positive and focus on the excitement of meeting your new little one. Remember that your baby is thrilled and dancing inside its safe space all the time, especially when you are happy. So put a smile on your face and embrace the journey!
Second Trimester is a time of rapid change — for both you and your baby. Every pregnancy is unique, and the information below will help you understand what's happening and how to prepare for the weeks ahead.

Your Body
Your uterus expands further into the abdomen, shifting your center of gravity and placing more strain on muscles and ligaments. Blood circulation continues increasing to support the placenta and growing baby. Your heart is now working harder than before pregnancy.
What You Might Notice
You may notice changes in posture, balance, or lower back tension. Some people also experience stronger appetite, increased energy, or occasional dizziness from circulation changes.
Your Baby
Bones continue hardening, and the ears move closer to their final position. Your baby can sense light through the skin and continues practicing swallowing and movement. Legs are now growing longer than the arms.
