Week 29 of Third Trimester
Discover what happens during week 29 of third trimester. Baby development, body changes, symptoms, and a weekly checklist.
What's Happening This Week
Preparing your home for your little peanut is one of the most delightful feelings as future parents. Nonetheless, we understand that the unpleasant and stressful features of your pregnancy can feel heavy. Remember you do have it in you to not let these emotions power over your thrill. Hum along to your favourite songs, paint that nursery and baby-proof your tables before the advent of mini-you!
Third Trimester is a time of rapid change — for both you and your baby. Every pregnancy is unique, and the information below will help you understand what's happening and how to prepare for the weeks ahead.

Your Body
Your uterus continues expanding upward beneath the ribs, shifting nearby organs and increasing strain on the back, pelvis, and abdominal muscles. Blood circulation remains significantly elevated to support oxygen delivery and rapid fetal growth. Your body is balancing increasing physical demand with preparation for labor ahead.
What You Might Notice
You may feel stronger rolling or stretching movements rather than quick flutter-like kicks. Shortness of breath, pelvic pressure, and interrupted sleep may become more frequent now.
Your Baby
Muscles and lungs continue maturing, while the brain forms increasingly complex neural connections. Your baby can now better regulate body temperature and responds more consistently to sound, light, and touch. Movements may feel stronger as space inside the uterus gradually becomes tighter.
