What's Happening This Week
The to-do list may feel endless by now, keeping you occupied for the most part of your week. Ensuring your baby stays healthy and safe is the first step towards being good parents, so you’re shining already! Do take out time for yourself and your partner amidst all this, it’s important to unwind from time to time.
Third Trimester is a time of rapid change — for both you and your baby. Every pregnancy is unique, and the information below will help you understand what's happening and how to prepare for the weeks ahead.

Your Body
Your uterus continues pressing against the ribs and lungs while placing added strain on the pelvis and lower back. Hormonal shifts gradually soften joints and connective tissue to prepare the body for labor. Your center of gravity may feel noticeably different now.
What You Might Notice
You may feel stronger downward pressure, tighter stretching sensations, or increased fatigue by evening. Braxton Hicks contractions and disrupted sleep may also become more common now.
Your Baby
The lungs continue maturing rapidly, while body fat helps regulate temperature and energy storage after birth. Fingernails now reach the fingertips, and sleep cycles become more established. Most major organs are now well developed and functioning.
