Week 14 of Second Trimester
Discover what happens during week 14 of second trimester. Baby development, body changes, symptoms, and a weekly checklist.
What's Happening This Week
Transition is at the core of pregnancy. Each week brings with it changes, on the inside and the outside. This week’s agenda is to enjoy and absorb the uplifting aura around you, and most importantly, inside you! Wondrous time awaits you!
Second Trimester is a time of rapid change — for both you and your baby. Every pregnancy is unique, and the information below will help you understand what's happening and how to prepare for the weeks ahead.

Your Body
Your uterus continues rising upward into the abdomen, making the pregnancy more physically noticeable. Increased blood flow supports rapid growth and may contribute to warmer skin or visible veins. Many people notice a shift from exhaustion toward more stable energy.
What You Might Notice
You may feel more like yourself again, though new discomforts can begin appearing as your body expands. Round ligament pain, mild headaches, or nasal congestion can become more common now.
Your Baby
Your baby can now make facial expressions, including squinting and frowning. The neck becomes more defined, and fine hair begins developing across the body. Movement increases, even though it’s still too early to feel most of it.
