What's Happening This Week
We hope you’re easing into the sixth month well! Another week of big and small changes happening as fast as you read this guide. Know that there isn’t one ideal way of going through this exciting, overwhelming process. All your feelings, questions and worries are valid. Remember to prioritize your own self-care and to seek support or resources as needed.
Second Trimester is a time of rapid change — for both you and your baby. Every pregnancy is unique, and the information below will help you understand what's happening and how to prepare for the weeks ahead.

Your Body
Your uterus continues expanding upward, increasing pressure on the ribs, lungs, and bladder. Blood volume remains elevated, requiring the heart and circulation to work harder than usual. Muscles and joints also continue adapting to shifting balance and added weight.
What You Might Notice
You may feel stronger kicks, rib pressure, or more noticeable fatigue after activity. Leg cramps, swelling, or difficulty sleeping comfortably may also increase now.
Your Baby
The nervous system becomes more organized, improving movement coordination and responsiveness. Lung development continues steadily, while body fat slowly increases beneath the skin. Your baby’s grip reflex is also beginning to develop.
