Week 35 of Third Trimester
Discover what happens during week 35 of third trimester. Baby development, body changes, symptoms, and a weekly checklist.
What's Happening This Week
The journey of pregnancy is gradually approaching its grand finale, bringing up all sorts of feelings and emotions. The upcoming weeks may be especially hard on the mother, so maximum rest is suggested! Wrap up the last few weeks of your journey by documenting it in your favourite way!
Third Trimester is a time of rapid change — for both you and your baby. Every pregnancy is unique, and the information below will help you understand what's happening and how to prepare for the weeks ahead.

Your Body
Your uterus now sits high beneath the ribs, pressing against the stomach, lungs, and diaphragm. Hormonal shifts continue softening joints and connective tissue while the body prepares for labor and delivery. The physical effort required for everyday movement often becomes more noticeable now.
What You Might Notice
You may feel fuller faster, tire more easily, or notice stronger pressure beneath the ribs and pelvis. Sleep often becomes lighter and less comfortable as your body carries more strain.
Your Baby
Your baby’s lungs are close to fully mature, and body fat continues building beneath the skin to help regulate temperature after birth. The kidneys are fully developed, and the nervous system continues refining important reflexes and responses. Movements may feel slower now, mainly because there’s less room to move freely.
